What a year! Since the Connect 6ix consortium won the $9-billion contract to deliver the Rolling Stock, Signals, Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) for the Ontario Line subway in Toronto last Nov. 17, progress has been swift.

We’ve built a team of international experts in our Toronto office to deliver the project. Vehicle design is being finalized. Our team’s architects have put together plans for the Operations, Maintenance and Storage Facility. Design for the tunnels, tracks and systems is moving forward. Contracts for key elements of the project, like platform screen doors, have been awarded. Construction teams have started work on site. And we’ve only just begun!

The Ontario Line will bring 15.6-kilometres of much-needed rapid transit to Toronto to make moving around the city better, faster and easier than it is today. Stretching from Exhibition Place all the way up to Eglinton Avenue and Don Mills Road, the Ontario Line will have 15 new stations in vibrant, growing neighbourhoods and easy connections to dozens of other local and regional transit lines.
